Follow the steps below to make this Origami Flower.

Follow these detailed instructions to learn how to make an origami flower. At the end of the instructions, I’m also going to show you how to make an origami flower stem that allows you to attach two of these flowers to it. And if you make a few of these stems and flowers, you’re going to have a beautiful bouquet of hydrangeas 🙂
You will need scissors to give the petals a “flowery” form, but it’s not absolutely necessary if you’re ok with square petals :p
Step 1: Start with a square piece of origami paper, but if you only have regular 8.5×11 paper,
follow these instructions to make a square sheet.
Step 2: Fold the paper in half, top corner to bottom corner.
Step 3: Fold the triangle in half, fold left corner to the right corner.
Step 4: Open the upper layer flap and squash down like you see in the picture.
Step 5: Turn the paper over.
Step 6: Make the left flap stand vertically, then open it and squash down.
Step 7: Rotate the figure so it’s upside down. Only a few more steps left!
Step 8: Fold the lower left and right sides to the center as shown.
Step 9: Turn the figure over.
Step 10: Again, fold the left and right sies to the center.
Step 11: Fold the bottom corner to the top corner, then unfold.
Step 12: This step is optional. Cut along the lines that I drew with a pen. This will help give the petals a nicer shape.
Step 13: Open the petals. Crease the left and right petals so they stay open, and bend the flower back a little so the petals face up.
Step 14: If you want to make a bouquet of hydrangeas, make more flowers and attach the stems to them.
