Follow instructions to learn how to fold this origami horse head.
Difficulty: Easy
The origami horse head has a couple of folds that will require you to guess how far to fold and when to stop because there are no lines and creases to assist you. Just go along with the instructions and you should be fine, even though it won’t turn out perfect the first time.
Step 1: Begin with a square sheet of origami paper with color side down. If you only have regular 8.5×11 paper, follow these instructions to turn it into a square.
Step 2: Fold in half taking the left corner and placing it over the right corner, then unfold it.
Step 3: Fold in half again, but this time by taking the top corner and placing over the bottom corner, then unfold it.
Step 4: Take a part of the bottom corner and fold it to the center, then unfold it.
Step 5: Turn the paper over.
Step 6: Fold a part of the corner to the crease you just made.
Step 7: Turn the paper over.
Step 8: Here’s where you need to take a good guess. Fold in a part of the left and right edges, but make sure not to go pass the creased corners at the bottom.
Step 9: Using the top of the left and right as fold point, fold the top flap down.
Step 10: Fold a part of the same flap upwards like you see in the picture.
Step 11: Fold in the left and right corners as shown in the picture.
Step 12: Fold the figure in half.
Step 13: Draw on the eyes and nostril. Now you have an origami horse head 🙂
