Step 1: Start with a regular piece of rectangle paper that’s 8.5 x 11.0 inches (215.9 x 279.4 mm).

Step 2: Fold the top left corner down to the right edge as shown. Make the top right corner as pointy as possible.

Step 3: Unfold.

Step 4: Fold the top right corner to the left edge as shown.

Step 5: Unfold. You should now have two diagonal creases that form an “X”

Step 6: Turn the paper over.

Step 7: Fold the top down by lining up both top two corners to the bottom of both diagonal creases. In other words, fold down at the “X” of the diagonal creases.

Step 8: Unfold.

Step 9: Turn the paper over.

Step 10: Put your finger at the center of the “X” crease and push in to pop the “X” in.

Step 11: The creases should collapse in, so help it out and flatten it to get the triangle.

Step 12: Bring the bottom left and right corners of the triangle to the top corner. Now you have a diamond.

Step 13: Bring the left and right corners of the diamond to the top corner.

Step 14: Fold the top two flaps down.

Step 15: Fold the top corner flap down as well.

Step 16: Unfold the left, right, and top flaps.

Step 17: Find the pocket at the edge of the top flap and tuck the left flap in there.

Step 18: Tuck the right flap in its pocket as well.

Step 19: Fold the left and right edges of the plane to the center.

Step 20: Take both edges at the center and fold them out to the outer edges.

Step 21: Unflatten the wings so they look like this. You’re all done! Now let’s learn how to fly this.

Step 22: With your hand, clamp down at the back half of the plane like this. Instead of throwing it, just push it forward as if it’s already in midflight and let go.
